Find answers to the most common questions about dust collector systems and our services.
The price of a custom dust collector depends on several factors: the type of industry, the air volume that needs to be processed, the type of filter (bag, cartridge, pocket), as well as additional components such as fans, automation, and ducting. The price of a dust collection system varies significantly depending on the size of the workshop, number of workstations, type of production, and specific requirements. Complete dust collection systems for woodworking shops typically start from several thousand leva and can reach tens of thousands for larger installations. MS Engineering 70 Ltd offers free consultation and a quote tailored to your specific facility.
Choosing a dust collector depends on: the type of dust (fine, coarse, sticky), the amount of dust generated per hour, air temperature, available space, and specific production requirements. For woodworking, we recommend bag filters; for metalworking - cyclone systems with spark arrestors; for food industry - stainless steel filters with HEPA modules. Our engineers will help you choose the most suitable solution.
An aspiration system is a complex of equipment for capturing and purifying harmful particles and gases from air in industrial premises. It works on the principle of suction of contaminated air from the pollution source through local suction devices (suction hoods, nozzles), passing the air through a pipe network to a filtration system where dust is separated, and discharge of purified air back into the premises or outside. The system includes: fan, dust collector, ducting, and control automation.
Dust collection system installation depends on the size and complexity of the installation. For smaller systems (up to 10 workstations) installation takes 1-3 days. For medium systems, 5-10 working days are required. Large industrial installations may require 2-4 weeks. MS Engineering 70 Ltd performs installation and commissioning throughout Bulgaria, with minimal disruption to the production process.
Regular maintenance includes: monthly inspection and cleaning of filters (for manual cleaning), periodic inspection of filter elements condition and timely replacement when worn, fan operation and belt drive inspection, electrical parts and automation inspection, hopper and dust discharge elements cleaning. We offer subscription maintenance with scheduled inspections and warranty service.
In Bulgaria, dust norms are regulated by Ordinance No. 6/2004 on limit values of harmful substances in the air of work areas and other regulations. For dust collection installations, air purification to MAC (Maximum Allowable Concentration) of harmful substances is required. Emissions from chimneys must also comply with the Air Protection Ordinance. MS Engineering 70 Ltd designs systems in compliance with all environmental regulations and assists with the necessary documentation.
Bag filters are cleaned using several methods: vibration cleaning - mechanical shaking of bags by vibrator; jet-pulse system - cleaning with compressed air through pulses, which is the most effective method; manual cleaning - by mechanical tapping or brushing. The jet-pulse system is the most common and allows continuous operation of the system without stopping the process. Cleaning frequency depends on the amount of dust and type of production.
Filter elements are replaced when: a visible increase in pressure loss in the system (checked by gauges), reduced dust capture efficiency, physical wear or tearing of the material, replacement is also recommended prophylactically every 2-4 years depending on operating conditions. With proper operation and regular maintenance, bag filters have a lifespan of 3-5 years. We offer spare parts and consumables delivery for all our systems.
ATEX is a European directive for equipment designed for operation in explosive environments. ATEX execution means that the equipment (fans, electrical components) is designed not to ignite combustible dusts or gases. For industries with explosion risk (metalworking with aluminum, magnesium, grain storage) ATEX certification is required. MS Engineering 70 Ltd offers fans and electrical equipment with ATEX execution for explosive zones.
A cyclone is a device for preliminary dust separation working on the principle of centrifugal force - air enters spirally and coarse particles are thrown to the walls and fall into the hopper. Cyclones are effective for coarse dust (over 10-20 microns) and are used as a first stage before filtration systems. Dust collectors (filters) capture fine dust particles and provide a higher degree of purification (up to 99.9%). They are often used in combination: cyclone + filter.
Yes, MS Engineering 70 Ltd offers optimization and modernization (retrofit) services for existing installations. We can: replace outdated equipment with new energy-efficient components, add automation and remote control, improve filtration efficiency with newer filtering materials, optimize the ductwork network to reduce losses, add monitoring and dust emission control system. We diagnose the current state and propose specific solutions with proven effect.
